Also, be warned now that there are like, 500 pictures here on this post… ;-)
I took some bunny pictures of Max this day… It probably wasn’t the best day to do them, though--he got shots the day before and he’s not usually his happy little self for a couple of days after he gets shots! But here are some of the ones I got that day…
Max has taken such an interest in kitchen tools lately… We decided to let him try playing with measuring cups in his room this evening. He enjoyed them, but he sticks them in his mouth and we worry about him falling and stabbing the back of his throat or something with them, so he only gets to play with them occasionally and only while he is supervised closely!
Max's girlfriend (Cameron)'s mom (Amber) bought this cute little elephant for him! She gave it to me to give to him this night at work. It was totally unexpected and super nice of her! We'd like to send out another shout out to her and say thanks!!
On this particular Thursday, Max and I started playing a new game… I call it, “I’m gonna git you!” He is in his walker and I say that to him, and he runs away! If he’s facing away from me, anyway… If he’s facing me, he runs towards me and it doesn’t work as well! But I tickle him under his arms when I catch him and he just laughs! It’s so fun. Anyway, here are some pictures from the day!
Max with his new toy elephant!
Max also got to play in his very first box on this day! He seemed to enjoy it. Here are some pictures I got!
I finally just helped him in... He really wasn't sure about his knees touching the cardboard!
This flap really wanted to stay in and would swing in when Max let go of it. He thought it was hilarious!
To put an end to our evening, we dyed Max's first Easter eggs when Ryan got home from school that night!

Ready to start!
"Did I taste this one?"
Max dunked an egg!
Ready for the next one!
He was pretty content just holding the egg! He wasn't as interested in dunking it!
The eggs have to be tasted before they can be dyed... ;-)
Yay! He dropped it in!

Look at our colorful fingers!
Waiting for the eggs to change colors!
Max really wanted to get the eggs out of the dye!

You can't read the words on these real well...
"Max's".
"1st".
"Easter!"
"Dad <3 Max".
"Mom <3 Dad".
"Mom <3's Max".
:-)
:-)
Those straps are a great distraction sometimes!
Yay for Easter eggs!
All the pretty Easter eggs!
Max and all the colored eggs!
Max's egg. :-)
Poor baby... He really wants those eggs!
We are thrilled to know that Max is not reacting to bananas any more (or apples, pears, or prunes)! And he has a new favorite food combo as a result--cherries with bananas!
Here are some pictures Max and I got together that morning!
Ryan’s work does inventory three times a year--once in August, once in December, and once in April. Why they chose Easter weekend to do inventory this year is beyond me! But Ryan didn’t get to come home for dinner this night, so Max and I had macaroni and cheese.
Ryan had to return to work Saturday morning to complete inventory. I was worried he wasn’t going to be home in time to make it to the Green Family Easter Egg Hunt, but luckily, he did!
And here he is eating lunch before the hunt!
Max found an egg!
"See my egg, Mom?"
Straight into the mouth!
"Don't eat that!"
Max wasn't interested in the orange egg...

We attempted to get a family picture together, without my hair done and with Max in his pajamas... HaHa. The little guy almost fell over on our first attempt!
And then he wouldn't hold still for the next attempt!
After we were ready to go, we headed to my mom’s house to spend some time with her. My mom and her husband do The Golden Egg Hunt every year. This year, Klay found the golden egg and he almost found the silver egg as he was getting a Capri Sun out of the drink bucket thing. I sat there and just stared at it, wondering why he wasn’t picking it up. Then I realized he hadn’t seen it, so I snatched it! Mom and Russ got us all new shirts and some candy for Easter.

And the hunt begins!

Ryan found an egg left over from last year's Green Family Easter Egg Hunt... There were maggots in there and NO chocolate inside the wrappers!! So gross!
Little Max... Always finding something way up high or way down low to stare at intently... LOL!

After my mom’s house, we headed to my Dad’s. They were having lunch and my dad had planned a surprise birthday party for Michelle! Her birthday was April 5, but she tried to skip it this year. She successfully skipped it last year by telling my dad she wanted to start celebrating in September, so he had to make sure she didn’t get away with it again this year!
Max is always very excited about candles!
After we sang “Happy Birthday,” we all ate and the kids hunted for Easter eggs!

Max's eggs!
After we hunted for eggs, Michelle opened her birthday presents and Max got to play with his new Easter toys from my dad and Michelle and from my grandparents. He also got to meet baby Mya, who was born in January and finally got to come home from the hospital in April! And after that, Max played on the trampoline with his Daddy and Aunt Chainda and got his first ever application of sunscreen!
Michelle's sister, Sokha, and her baby girl, Mya!

After we got home, we put Max’s grow-a-pet in water so it could hatch and grow!
Thank you to all of my family for all of the goodies for Easter! Ryan and I had plenty of candy and Max had a blast with his new toys! Our living room seriously looked like Christmas had hit that day!
On Monday, I went to download the pictures I’d gotten during the past couple of days, but one of my cards was no where to be found. I thought I’d lost the one that had all the pictures of my mom’s Easter egg hunt and Max going through his Easter basket at our house. I was devastated, but lucky that my husband knows me and my habits so well. He found it! In my camera bag. Where I’d looked at least five times! I was so glad it wasn’t gone! Thank you again to Ryan for finding it, and thank you again to my parents for keeping an eye out for it--I know my dad even looked in his yard and the field for it for me!
I love seeing how my baby learns and grows every day. He has completely mastered crawling now (as well as putting himself into a sitting position, pulling to a standing position, and creeping) and on this day, he totally made my day. I walked into the bathroom while he was in his room, and I stepped out to peek down the hall at him and he was crawling towards me with a big ol’ smile on his face! He was trying to find me so I would come play with him! So, so cute!
Here are some photos from the day!
Max playing with his top from Grandma and Grandpa!
We've heard that a lot of babies like pickles... We let Max try one, but I think he was too tired to really enjoy it!
Max's grow-a-pet! Starting to hatch already!
Max started trying to pull up in April, but he didn’t quite master the task until May… On Tuesday, I know he tried, though… I heard a creaky thud from his room followed by crying. I rushed into his room to see what had happened to find that he’d pulled his bumper in and that he had a fresh little red mark above his eyebrow. Poor baby. L But he is now doing really well when he pulls up and we are no longer having so many tears and thuds as a result of this!
Here are some pictures I got that day…
The little red mark above his eye... Poor boy!
Ryan made this egg!
He follows me everywhere I go!
Max's grow-a-pet, hatching even more!
I had to work that night, and as is becoming typical for me, I said something dumb to a customer as I rang him up… His total was $19.61, and after I told him that, he said, “That was a good year.” His wife said that I was too young to know, and I agreed by saying, “I wasn’t even a thought in 1961. In fact, my parents weren’t even thoughts in 1961!” The thought just popped into my head and I felt kind of bad for blurting out what I was thinking when I saw the dumbfounded look on his face! He told me my parents were punks and I heard him asking his wife if he was really that old as they walked out the door. Oops! At least she thought I was funny!
Max wanted to help with laundry!
He was a very messy eater at lunch time that day...
Cute little Max in his cute new clothes!
Crawling towards me while I was finishing laundry!
He makes such an effort to get into the cabinets and drawers now!
I peeked in on Max when I got home from work, and this is how he was sleeping--with his little bum in the air!
I also started getting this awful migraine at work that night. I’ve always gotten frequent headaches, but they’ve never really been as bad as this one! I’d forgotten to take something before work and refused to take anything while at work because I knew we had stuff at home. So by the time I left, my vision was weird and it was a scary drive home! Then when I got home, I couldn’t fall asleep forever. I kept thinking I was going to throw up, and when I finally did, I almost didn’t make it to the bathroom. It sucked!
I still felt pretty crappy on Thursday thanks to my migraine and being up half the night, so I was pretty lazy all day. Max and I didn’t even get out of our pajamas! But we had fun playing together, anyway. Here are some pictures I got that day…
He was very excited when I helped him stand up in his crib!
Play time!
He loves standing! At this time, he still needed help getting into the position!
I so love this boy!
I've been thinking it's pretty cool that Max can eat a full banana at one meal. Look at how big those are in comparison to his tiny little tummy!
On Friday, I was completely out of insulin and didn’t even have enough to last me until the next day. So I called the pharmacy at Target, since that is where we’ve been filling our prescriptions, and ordered it. When I went in to pick it up, they were completely out of insulin. So I went to the Walgreens by my house and asked to have it filled there. When I went back in to pick it up, they were out of it, too, so they sent me to the next Walgreens… Luckily they had it, but my insurance wasn’t working… They wanted me to pay $395! I gave them my card and they got it all worked out. I didn’t owe anything! At the time, I thought this was great and that Ryan’s new insurance was amazing… I’m not so sure anymore, but I loved it a month ago…
Also on Friday, I had to work, and Ryan couldn't get home in time for me to go. So, I called my dad and he babysat Max for about an hour for us. It was our first time having someone besides one of the two of us (Ryan and myself) watch him! It was kind of hard for me to leave him, but I did it, and I'm proud of myself for doing so! My dad said he was perfect, too. He did really good and didn't cry the whole time. :-)
Anyway, here are a couple pictures I got that day. :-)
Taking a nap!
On Saturday, it was my grandma’s birthday, so we spent the afternoon visiting at her house. Here are pictures!
